Hey Guys, I've recently joined the world of the home recording guitarist and while I'm having a great time doing it, I'm having some trouble getting my recorded sound to sound as good as my amp sound.
I'm using:
Mark V combo (on presets - which I love)
TC Electronics Nova Delay (in FX Loop for leads and clean)
Dunlop CryBaby (in front of Amp)
Gibson Les Paul Traditional
Shure M57 Mic (setup straight on, between cone and edge of speaker, 1 inch from grill)
M-Audio Fast Track USB Audio Interface
Mac Laptop with Garage Band
The issue I'm having is that Channel 3 sounds a little muffled and crackly. I was hoping someone could maybe suggest some mic placements or settings on the audio interface that will allow my recordings to sound identical to my true tone.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
