Mark IV makes buzzes when close

I cant quite figure out where the problem is here.. But I have a 01 mark IV rack mounted with fan and every time i walk close to it with my guitar it buzzes like a crazy man. Its the most loud on my gain channel. I put all new tubes in it and it sounds good besides the infamous buzz.

Any suggestions to rid myself from this problem besides never getting close to my amp?

Its a used amp so I dont know the history of it either.

Totally normal. Turn your volume knob on your guitar down when you get close to the amp.

I've had a lot of luck using a (noise)gate with my Mark IV recently. It has really helped tame some of the noise associated with using lots of gain. Good luck man!

Good point. I use the Boss NS-2 and I think it is an excellent peice of gear. It has enough threshhold to get pretty close before you hear the signal or noise.
