Can anyone point me in the right Direction for buying Great sounding 6L6 Tubes from Guitar Center, i have a 150.00 Gift Card that i need to use. I need Pre, Power & Rectifier Tubes.
best thing to do is get mesa tubes or gt tubes for the power cuz they cant tell you if another company is within mesas specs.
as for preamps the guitar centers by me suck for tubes so id say try www.guitarcenter.com to see what tubes they got you could always just see whats in a dougs tubes retube kit and buy what you can from that from guitar center
TAD 6L6GC-STR from www.thetubestore.com in a 23 rating. That's what is in my recto and they absolutely kill my STR440 and my STR454 6L6GC's. Plus they are about $10 cheaper per pair than mesa tubes.
