Hi,
Have just joined this fine forum and was wondering if anyone could help.
Have recently been experiencing a problem with the fuse on the front panel of my Mesa 2:90 (which was bought second hand from ebay). I have replaced blown fuses 5 or 6 times in the last three weeks. This seems to happen only when the power is initially switched on. Anyone had this problem or know what might be the cause?. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if this has been covered before. Thanks in advance.
PS I am currently using a Digitech GSP 2101 as a preamp (I know, I know). Will hopefully upgrade to a Triaxis when funds allow!

i'd mine with the same problem when i bought it brand new. A mesa tech had checked it and he told me that the power amp works fine. A blow fuse could be depend by:

- bad tube.

- wrong fuse replacements. Use the appropriate fuse.

Hey,

I had exactly the same thing happen. I changed the tubes and that was it.
Everything ok again. (though replacing 8 power amp tubes is quite expensive)
One of the technicians I asked told me that old tubes can
put too much load on the amp, and that's causing the fuse to blow...

Good luck
