I bought this Washburn WI62 Idol for about $300 ... rewired it ... new pickups ... Seymour Duncan AP2 neck and Gibson 498T bridge. What do you think? How does it sound with my Boogie?

Hey nice work. Good tone and playing. Sounds like your a Duane Allman fan, like me.

Thanks ... yeah I'm big Allman Brothers fan. I've gotta a couple of covers it you want to give a listen @ www.soundclick.com/kendove and click MUSIC ... you'll see them listed

This new guitar is a slide project but my favorite rig with this Boogie is a '80 Yamaha SA2000 semi-hollow

UPDATE on the WASHBURN project:

Replaced the SD Alnico 2 Pro Neck with a 59 Bridge (in the neck). Posted a quick clip to update. Reminder ... I was trying to make "an SG like slide guitar with a vintage edge" to play with my old Boogie. I think the Boogie sounds good with anything ... love that amp!

I think it was a great success :D ... see updated sound slip below:
