Just got a clean, stock Mark IIB. The clean channel sounds great. The lead channel is a little woofy and thick, which sounds nice for leads, but is lacking crisp focus for a crunch sound. I am looking at buying a Mark I reissue that has 6V6 tubes in it. I was not aware that 6V6's could be used on this amp... Does anyone know if the amp could be damaged using these tubes? Thanks, in advance.

I have my 1993 Mark IV open right now. From the outside, it appears to be a "B" version, but I would like to verify the version on the inside. Does anyone know the internal indicators of an A or B version? Perhaps a marking, or particular circuit configuration or component? Thanks!
