One more thing, I just looked and the rectifier tubes don't seem to be lighting up at all. Are they just really dim or something? Seems like though they may be old they must be working at least because otherwise I probably couldn't play on the rectifier setting without something happening.

so if I get the prodi box then I could plug my guitar into that then run a cable the amp out of the do and another cable out of the do into my mixer for a direct recording and then if I decide i don't like my tone later I can reverse it and use as a reamper right? Thanks.

I went with the Maxon od808 after testing that, a bbe sonic maximizer, and a ts9. It is good for me in tighting up my dual recto's bottom end.
