    Mark V 35 low end?

    I have the Mark 5 35w head, not the combo. I play it out of a JCM 900 1960 4x12 with GT75 speakers. There is PLENTY of low end! Dont believe that crap about EL84s not having low end.

    Heavy metal pickups that like the mark v

    Believe it or not, the Dimarzio Super Distortion is great for old school metal and thrash. I have been using them for years in my Strats and G&L Legacy. And of course you can never go wrong with an EMG 81.

    Mark V 35 at band levels

    Just wanted to add something to this, after listening back again...my stage volume was actually too loud. That was probably the reason why I was feeding back a bit. So I could have come down a bit in overall volume...this head is loud enough for metal and hard rock gigs.

    I agree they are very similar. I have the 35w and from numerous 90w videos I have dialed in the same settings and its there.
