    PRS Singlecut Questions....UPDATE!

I have an PRS SE Custom that ROCKS!!! The SE's are among the finest import guitars I've ever played (they are made in Korea) , and I've played plenty! That said, my SE has some shortcomings when compared to a US made PRS. The quality of woods and hardware aren't up to US specs, but they do...

    PRS Singlecut Questions....UPDATE!

I've never noticed a brightness issue with the Singlecut. It's not as thick sounding to me overall as a Les Paul is, but I think the Singlecut with the #7's has better tonal definition than a LP. To be honest, I don't use the Singlecut with clean tones too often, but when I do it doesn't sound...

    PRS Singlecut Questions....UPDATE!

The Custom 24 and Singlecut are totally different beasts, and my Custom 24 is way more versatile (it's got the 5-way rotary) than the Singlecut. However, for that great thick rock tone the Singlecut is a monster! For lead playing and versatility I'll take the Custom... The vintage tuners on...

    PRS Singlecut Questions....UPDATE!

I also purchased my Custom 24 20th Anniversary from Willcutts and couldn't be happier! Those guys rock! As for the Singlecut through a Boogie, you can't go wrong! My Singlecut is the most powerful sounding PRS I own. It has a presence unlike any of my other PRSi, and it has a very "fat"...

    Maybe the F100 is overkill ! ?

I have an F-50 1x12 combo with the extension 1x12 cab and it can definitely keep up with the half stacks! I can't use the thing at volumes over 2 in lead mode without drowning out the rest of the band! Gotta love it! :D

    Just played a F-30, now I'm confused????

I just got my F-50 combo with a 1x12 extension cab a few months ago and it's by far the best Boogie I've ever owned, and I've had several over the years including a Mark IIB, SOB (in head and combo formats), and a Studio 22. I love the gain settings, especially with contour. The clean tones...

    Jackson Fans?

I've owned several killer Jackson's over the last 20 years. I had an one of the last San Dimas bolt-ons in Flourescent Yellow, an original Phil Collen with the heavy carved top, Soloists, Fusions, and assorted others. Most of them are gone now, but I still have a 1993 Jackson JTX (a Japanese...

    Opinions on Parker Fly?

I used to own a Fly Classic, and while I loved the acoustic tones and the lightness, I couldn't stand the upper horn poking into my ribcage and it lacked the punch of my PRSi in electric mode. I know the some of the newer ones have switched to Duncans from Dimarzios, but I haven't heard one...
