Taken my UK Mark V head to Canada

Gilbert Guitars in Barrie is Mesa Dealer as is the ARTS in Newmarket. I find the Arts is a great store, their staff are really accommodating at least that was my experience with them.

    Odd Rig Question

Hey guys I have a bit of odd question. I'm a huge fan of the Chris Squire bass sound. For those of you not familiar with his tone he plays bass(Rickenbacker 4003) through a guitar amp. Mixed with a traditional bass amp sound. Does Mesa make a great bass combo that would complement the MV? I'd...

    Fuzz pedals and Mark V?

I'm using a fulltone 70 with my MV combo. I really like it. I had a big muff but i found it too woofy for my taste so I sought out a fuzz face derivative. Sound great in channel one, tweed either 10w or 45w. The treble can get hairy on the tweed mode so adjust accordingly!

Les Paul '57 VOS and tone

You could try a Gibson Dirty Finger... That might give you what you want! I prefer a slightly hot PAF style in my lp when matched with my mark v.

    Celestion C90

I think the c90 fits my style better. But it's all personal preference. I will offer this bit first. Break the speaker in before you decide if you hate it. I found the mv sounded a tad sterile and flat when i first bought it, but after a year of playing the speaker is sounding better and...

    Considering a Mark V

Once you have a MV, other dudes who don't have one will always look at yours and think to themselves "I guess my Fender Hot Rod Deville ain't gonna cut it"...I'm of the opinion that if your dropping over 2k on an amp it better be reliable. I've had mine for 1 year and I must say ever time I play...

Matching pickups to the Mark v.

Fellow MV owners. I have an Epiphone Elitist les paul that i'm putting new pick ups in. I play jam band/pyschedelic/prog style music. I really have no idea what to put in them. I'm looking for a hotter pickup, but not a "shred" pick up. Any suggestions from the community are welcome! my...

Anybody getting any mileage out of 10-watt modes?

I use the tweed mode in 10w. I love it with my fender jazzmaster. I keep the gain around 1 o`clock. I`ve found that its a great sound for that barky, slightly dirty, riffin and rollin. I really don`t have a steady eq because it changes on the room. But the ball park I have the trebles and...

    Effects and the V.

I`m looking for a great delay for my effects loop. I have a line 6 echo park right now but i`d like to up grade to a better unit. I`m just curious about the signal chain of the users on this board.
