Both modes of channel 1 on my Nomad are good. You may want to swap the V2 preamp tube to see if it is at fault. In case you don't have a manual, I attached one to this post. The tube layouts are near the end of the manual
Do they stick out as far as the original? That is the issue I have with the controls on my Nomad. They stick out further than the controls on my Mark IV. I ended up keeping the Nomad in an area where I could not bump into it be accident.
Welcome to the forum, sir!
I like the versatility of Mesa amps too. I have owned Mesas of one type or another for many years. The ones in my signature cover the ground I need now - and even more!

I agree with @JustPassingThrough, if the amp is respondingf to nothing on the foots-witch, I would first wonder if something has died or shaken loose in it. Since it light up, the cable is at least (partly) okay.
Nope. I never made enough money at music for it to be a profession or a job. Even so, music and making music is a large part of my life. I can spend hours relaxing by playing. I can even spend hours toying around with one of my amps, getting different sounds from, even using different pedals...
Mine has the same "issue", but because I run it through a PS2A, the issue is mitigated. Before I had the PS2 though, it took some fiddling to get it right where I wanted it. Lot's of times I simply used the channel masters to even things out.
Some of their combos are heavy. I have pinched nerves in my back. My Mark IV stays home quite a bit these days. The Nomad 45 is light enough I can still carry it around.
