Sold / Withdrawn Black headshell for Mark III/IV short head - $250

I recently put my head in a wicker hardwood head shell to match its cab, so I have a black tolex short head shell for sale. This was built by Scott Stofik (metalone72). It had a III in it, but I think it will also fit the IV and II short heads that are the same dimensions? It is not mesa...

Sold / Withdrawn WTB: Mark III 60/100 short head

I am interested in a Mark III 60/100 short head with EQ, if anyone is interested in selling. Edit: Found a III++ for a good price.

Custom wicker cab makers for Mark head shells and 1x12s?

I have an old bubinga Thiele 1x12 and would like to get a head shell for a mark III to match it or come close. Anyone know of a custom cabinet maker doing boogie style hardwood/wicker cabinets these days? May also be interested in a 1x12, as I have an old MC90 floating around that needs a home...

Mark V:35 on Thiele 1x12 EVM12L not saturating like I want–is it a speaker problem?

I grew up playing Mark series amps into a halfback EVM12l + MC90s 4x12. MkIII red stripe with that cab was almost perfect, sold it for the MkIV so that I had less compromise on cleans in my band live. Sold the IV when I went all in on the AxeFX. Went back around and snagged a Mk V:35 and Thiele...

    Depth of 2:90 power amp?

Hey everyone. I've got a 2:90 on order, and am looking to get a separate road case for it so that I can split the weight. Can anyone confirm the depth of the unit from the rack ears to the back of the chassis?? Will it fit in a 14" deep rack, or if I need to go with a 18" deep rack. I'd like...

Amps that have a MarkIV-like lead tone.

I'm looking for an amp that will be more versatile than my MkIV for live playing. Looking for something with a lead channel that sounds/feels like that smooth MkIV lead tone, but has better clean & mid-gain channels. It would be nice to split my lead and heavy rhythm sounds to different...

Mark V lead tone vs rhythm tone...

Pretty sure there wasn't IIC+ on SFAM, and that it was mostly a rectifier and triaxis at that point. Almost positive a MIV was not on that album. He didn't start playing MIVs until the full g3 tour, although he had one for 'Evening with Jordan Rudess' I think. Not sure about LTE2, but I think...

The Joy of Running Two Amps at Once

We're about to start tracking guitars on my band's new album, and I'm going to be splitting signal between a Mark IV and an SLO via my radial switchbone. Bandmate has a JVM so we'll probably split the JVM with the boogie, too. Figure the marshall and the SLO are voiced too much like each other...

Well, I guess the MKV is indeed a reality...

Looks like Boogie has some things brewing lately... http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/gear-equipment/60041-boogie-trademarks-mark-5-a.html

Well, I guess the MKV is indeed a reality...

I don't understand why there is all this talk about the TriAxis being revved. If that was the case, they would have pulled the TriAxis from production along with the Mk I and IV.

    NEW MARK 5 PIC!!!

I'm getting impatient on this, now! I would have figured that they'd unveil it at summer NAMM 08. I read somewhere that Mesa wasn't going to summer NAMM, though. Does anyone have a vendor list to verify? I'd find it hard to believe the product is that far out of hitting shelves, since the...

    NEW MARK 5 PIC!!!

Four 8 ohm jacks, I'd assume that means stereo, then?

    Mark IV presence settings...

I don't know how you guys cut through in a band settingm with presence below like 6. It does get more gritty and less smooth past 7, but also adds a lot of chunk for palm mutes, so its a trade off.

    MARK V!

I wouldn't be surprised if they brought the lead preamp back to IIC+ spec, and tweaked the plate voltages to get them back to IIC+ voltages, to tap into the big $ in the IIC+ vintage market. Then again, I can also see Mesa not looking backwards. If the Mark V comes with a blackface-ish clean...

    C13 Clipped on Mark IVB?

Oh yeah, Im talkin' output master. I have to say I hate the way all of the volumes are designed on this amp. I have the clean volume nearly at 10, and the lead volume at under two to balance the two channels volume out, and then the master volume stays below 2 most of the time.

    C13 Clipped on Mark IVB?

Oh another question. The MV always seems to be at 1.8 or 2 on these amps. As a result, it's super touchy. I know that this is common in practically all Mark series amps, but while I have her open, I'm willing to fix it. Has anyone ever tried throwing a 220k resistor across the wiper and leg...

    C13 Clipped on Mark IVB?

I had to pull my chassis out last night to troubleshoot a no sound issue due to a power supply problem on a Mark IVB. I found the culprit of the issue- a fried power resistor (R124). Poked it with a chopstick and the sound returned. :D That baby will get replaced with a fresh one. Two...
