    Badlander mods?

The Mr. Scary folks say it will even work in the Rectoverb 25 but it won’t fit in that small head. Shame! I wonder if it could dangle around outside with some kind of extension cable?

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

I’ll give that a whirl at practice tonight! But that kinda sucks as I like the big headroom of 90W mode clean. But, maybe a workaround. And yes, chagrin is a good word for it. I thought the Mark VII was simpler than the V but in this regard, the V wins hands down: FX RETURN level constant across...

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

It seems there is a level control between the RETURN stage and the power section. Therefore, there is no solution other than not changing channels and using a pedal out front. Each channel has it’s own LOOP RETURN level unlike the TC where the RETURN level is global and independent of the...

    Mark VII in country music

Hey there. Thanks for the thoughts. What kind of pick-ups do you use…assuming single coils? Also, what Mark VII settings have you landed on?

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

Thanks for the suggestions. As far as the looper in front, I can't really do that since the looper is also my delay, and I like the delay in the FX LOOP. Also, the looper in front would just record the guitar signal. So, when switching channels the looper signal would be victim to whatever...

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

Thanks much for the response. It sounds like what you stated here is the "why" of the use of double ganged pots on the VII. The "why" is that without the extra level control back to the power section the return levels would be even more different (between clean and gain channels). Is that what...

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

Does the JP2C also have double ganged MASTER pots?

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

Thanks for the info. I forgot to mention that the Mark V:25 also is looper friendly. When switching channels, modes and changing MASTER level knobs the looper volume remained the same (except EXTREME, where there is a noticeable volume increase since that changes the power section). Of course...

Mark VII - dang double gang - messed up FX levels

Hi, I noticed this behavior in the VII the other day: I created a looper pedal clean riff in CH1 FAT mode, then let it run with the FX LOOP ON. I switched to CH2 CRUNCH and the volume of the FX LOOP dropped significantly. Playing live guitar CH1 and CH2 were the same volumes. Tested further...

High pitched noise when bright switch is on , ch3

My guess would be pre-amp tube, maybe one in the final gain stages of Ch3 if there is no high pitched noises on other channels. Check out the tube chart in the manual to which ones it might be.

Two different amps at the same price: TC100 vs Mark VII

My head is spinning trying to keep up with that rig. Wild, man

Tone tips Mark V (post metal, solstafir)

When listening to the video you posted above I thought it sounded like a mix of guitar types. I checked out a live video and they do use humbuckers and single coils and of course a lot of pedals. Was there a particular song or minute mark in your album video above which has the tone or after...

Mark VII owners - how’s it going?

I would say the VII has more thump than the V. But these types of things are subjective! I’ve never owned or played a IV so can’t comment as to how the new ones compare to the original.

NAD: Mesa Boogie Mark VII head. WOW

You need an out building, bro. LOL. What a fantastic array of amps and cabs. I miss the little Made in USA red, white and blue stickers that used to be on the top of the amps. My Mark V still has it after gigging all these years.

    Finally

Nice rig. Something about how those metal grills just say “Hello, would you like your face ripped off?” LOL. They just look bad *** What is the little metal nub on the left side of the grill. Some type of microphone mount?

Mesa Boogie: Boogie 4x10 cab with the JP2C

When I play out and if we are on a ‘stage’* of any kind of wood I always remove the casters on the vertical 2x12. I do like the extra bit of umpf this gives. We play mostly hard rock, old school metal. The casters are super easy to take off and put on. I’m a bit of a dweeb and always have the...

Mark V turns extremly quiet when the footswitch is connected

On occasion (more often than I’d like to admit) I’ve accidentally flipped the cables so FX out of amp goes to output of pedal board on occasion. The result is as you described. So, if something is plugged into the loop when your issue is happening first thing is to check the cable routing.

    Other Cabclone IRs?

I reread this, I meant to say it was NOT a bunch of money! Sorry about the confusion

I just wanted to say hello! Im a new member in Santa Cruz Ca.

Welcome! You’ve already introduced me to something I’m not familiar with, virtual pedal boards. I’ll have to do a bit of googling about this Headrush Prime

    Other Cabclone IRs?

I’ve got some York Audio IR’s and they seem pretty good. But, I am not quite a cork sniffer of IR tone as some. If I remember a few packs only ran maybe $30-$50 or something so it was a bunch of money for dozens of IR’s with different microphone configurations. They offer some free ones to...
