    1976 Boogie SP3 restore help

What is it about this one that makes you want one? Also, do you know what “HRGX” stands for? I am building a headhsell for it too. Just waiting for some parts from MESA which just shipped. If it turns out the way I want, I will post a thread.

    Awesome Tone at Lower Volume

I am using a Fryette PS-2 and KHE ACS 4x4 switcher for my 4 amps through a Mesa 2x12 vertical cab and it sounds fantastic. I am picking up a Mark V and matching Mesa 2x12 vertical cab tomorrow and will compare that going through just the cab and then through the PS-2/KHE to see if there are any...

Just a few general comments or opinion of the Badlander 100W

Sorry, thought I saw the traditional but I guess it was another 2x12. There is a 4x12 local that is 280 watts but has recessed handles in it, I assume this one you recommend to stay away from. It is this one: Mesa 4x12 Will have to think about the MWDR. Thanks for all the info.

Just a few general comments or opinion of the Badlander 100W

I love my Badlander 50. I use the Flux drive to give it that extra boost and it’s been a great addition to the amp. I might need to pick up a Grid Slammer also per your recommendation. I have never had a MWDR or any DR for that matter. Do you think it’s worth it to own one along side the...

    JP-2C Reverb

Sigh……. So after switching out both tubes and messing around with other settings, I decided I was going to just switch out all the tubes. I took off the back cage and looked down and saw that the wire to the reverb tank was barely plugged in. Pushed it in all the way and what do you know, works...

    JP-2C Reverb

Thanks for the reply. I switched out tube 3 but totally missed that tube 4 was involved too. Will check that one out next. Interesting enough, the manual says tube 3 should be a 12ax7 but mine came with a 12at7. Switched with a 12ax7 and it made no difference.

    JP-2C Reverb

When i use reverb on the blue or red channel it sounds incredibly thin and a drastic tone change. Also seems to add a boost effect. I have read how great the reverb is on this but I am not having the same results. Any ideas what would make the reverb so terrible? I mean, it is really terrible...

Has anyone received a new JP2C with the new Schumacher transformers?

I picked one up recently and don’t notice any difference between this one and the one I had years and years ago. BTW…… if you are still looking for one, move fast. Price for a new one just went to $3,999 which is absurd. some smaller sites haven’t raised the price yet. I bought a new for under...

TC50 first impressions and argument to buy

I picked up a TC-50 again after selling my other first one 4 years. So missed this amp. Has everything I want in it. I do wonder how different the TC-100 is from it. Considering picking one up just to check out the power-soak.
