    Mark IIB voicing...bassy?

Also, putting a Mesa Flux-Drive pedal in front and turning the bass to almost off has helped a lot too.

    Mark IIB voicing...bassy?

Below is how I am running mine.I can’t believe how much gain this thing has. Also have no idea how anyone can run this thing without an attenuator. Volume 1 pulled, Treble pulled, Master 1 pulled, Lead Drive pulled. 60 watt mode. Even with an attenuator, I am scared to death of 100w mode.

TC50 first impressions and argument to buy

Bandit, you made a post about putting an EQ in the loop of the TC and how it changed it so much, it gives the JP-2C a run for its money. At least I think it was you. Do you know where you posted that? Can’t seem to find it. I want to pick up an EQ pedal (Mxr m108s probably) and wanted to read...

    The Tone Monster

Great thread. I just discovered this guy last week and he is really fun to watch. With that video of the Mark V, I don’t think I have ever seen someone as impressed with anything than he is with that amp. I downloaded his 2 solo albums and the band he is in (Cythra). Great stuff. And if you have...

    Mark IIB Chasis Removal

I would like to know what that ground wire is for as I have it on my IIb also. I am building a head shell and would like to know if it’s needed. Anyway, it shouldn’t stop you from pulling the amp out. You do need to take the power tube out on the far right. Can’t think of anything else that...

Made my own wicker grill for a Mark V:25

Looks great! I am doing the same for the Mark IIb head I am building. I read that soaking the wicker in warm water for a short time helps stretch it. Currently the Kane is not laying flat on the front of the board I made so I may take if and try the warm water approach.

Mark V 90 watt setup observations

I know what the effects loop is, just wasn’t sure of the association with the master volume. I just read the passage in the manual about the effect loop and checked what my Mark V was set to, which is Active. I have had the Mark V for whole day now. thanks for the explanation.

Mark V 90 watt setup observations

Can you explain the “using the loop and master volume“ part, specifically the ”loop”. I have seen other references to volume and the loop but I am not sure what this is referencing. I don’t use the loop for anything.
