Finally back in the Mesa mark IV owners club

Gratz! I would like to be in the Mark IV club for the first time. I read on another thread that Mike B wasn’t working on Mark IVs any longer, think it was rigtalk.

What have you been doing lately?

Installing new front suspension in my 72 Chevelle 454 SS. And then I am going to do burnouts!

Mesa Boogie: Boogie 4x10 cab with the JP2C

I might try some scumbacks. That is a brand I have never tried. I also loved the Mesa Fillmore 75. Hard to find now since Mesa stopped making them but I have read there is a Celestion equivalent.

Mesa Boogie: Boogie 4x10 cab with the JP2C

Yeah I love the 2x12 verticals. Just ordered a hot white bronco one to go with my Mark VII. Now the 3 month wait begins. Think I may start trying speakers in my black 2x12 vertical.

    3 New Mesa Rectifier cabs

Curious about the diagonal 2x12. 19lbs lighter than the 2x12 vertical slant one and an inch shorter and wider. same price but doesn’t include castors. I want to get a 2x12 vertical in white bronco to match my Mark VII but now might get one of these for my TC100 and Badlander and strip the black...

    TC100 Worth It?

I bought the TC50 when it first came out which was a year or 2 before the TC100 came out. Loved the TC50. A couple years later I sold all my amps and went digital. Then a year ago got back into amps and the TC50 was the first amp I bought, Again, loved it. But then I remembered that the TC100...

    Mark VII - Silent Practicing

I would like to know the answer to this also. It’s the one thing the manual is not clear about. I thought plugging in the headphones would kill the speaker and it didn’t. I am afraid to unplug the speaker after over a decade of never ever do that haha.

    Mark V Anxiety

I have a 2012 V and works fine. Just got a Mark VII and still keeping the V. The V is a fantastic amp. I also have 1982 Mark IIb and it works fine too, never had an issue. If you like it, keep it.

NAD: Mesa Boogie Mark VII head. WOW

Loving mine too. Wasn’t sure about the color but man, in person it is gorgeous. So much so that I am on the hunt for a matching 2x12 vertical in white bronco. I have been comparing it against the JP2C and Mark V. The VII sounds more “open” compared to the V. But playing the V more while...

    Bought a Mark VII!

I haven’t had a chance to match them up yet. Too busy trying to figure out why it’s squeals like crazy when gain and treble go above 1 o’clock. Spent hours swapping all tubes last night, nothing helped. Watched youtube videos to see what high gain guys had their amps at and they were well above...

    Bought a Mark VII!

Can you share what your settings are for channel 2 and 3? I just got my MVII and run it through a Fryette PS-2A and if the volume on the MVII is at 9-noon, when the gain knob or treble knob goes past noon the amp turns into a squealy mess. I do not have this issue with JP2C. Having a real hard...

    Tell me about the TC100

I love my TC-100. I have had 2 TC-50s and loved those also. It’s weird, I didn’t like the EL34s in the TC-50, i preferred 6L6s in them but with the TC-100, I love the EL34s and I run it in the 50 watt mode. Compared to the Mark V, they are nothing alike. Which is great because it makes it worth...

New to the forum and Mesa amps

Gratz and welcome to the forum! Go through the Mark V forum. There are many many threads of tips for settings, tube rolling and speakers. You most likely won’t be using any settings that you use from others amp with this amp, there are way to many other variables built into it.

Anyone get screwed on Board Classifieds?

I have bought many things from forums but I always pay with PayPal and add the fees for protection unless it’s someone who has been around a long time, active and has perfect feedback (for cheaper items).
