I am curious if anyone has heard the difference between the new and old transformers yet. I sold my JP2C last year (needed the money at the time). I am looking at buying another on reverb and see some have new some have old would love to know which is "better".

I have noticed Mesa hasn't restocked these in a very long time. I also noticed its not in the dropdown any longer. You can navigate to it if you click the electric link but seems odd and maybe foreshadowing.

So I see Mesaboogie has changed their website to look like Gibson and all mentions of custom colors, hardwood etc.. has been removed. I hope this is not the case.

I completely agree on the Mark V 90. I have owned almost all of the Mesa modern amps with the exception of the Badlander and the Mark V90 just wins me over every time. I love my triple crown as well and it has fantastic cleans but I feel like the Mark V 90 is so much more versatile.

I just got me a mint Emerald Green TC-100 and thought I would chime in with my first impressions. So far its a pretty great experience. My primary amp that I play these days is a Mark V 90 which I love so this one goes well with it. The cleans are extremely warm and with my active pickups...

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to weigh in. I was not a fan of the Mesa 1x12 or vertical 2x12. It made me think the amps I ran through them were not very good with low mid thump. I ended up buying a Randal Thrasher ported 4x12 with V30 and a Mesa 4x12 Slanted. It was a whole new world...

I feel the same way however I will just make sure i have all the boogie amps I love just in case they change. JP2C LE check 8) Mark V 25 check 8) Multi Watt dual rec still need :| Mark V 90 in. bronco blue and tan grill really need :shock:

I went to look at new stock at the Mesa Boogie Hollywood store and it looks like they took it down. I wonder if this is due to Gibson acquisition? http://mesahollywood.com/

I have owned most of the mesa amps and the one I liked the best for a warm clean with huge tube reverb and edge of breakup was the Express 5:50 plus. It does everything but metal without an OD pedal.

I doubt the splitter is related. I have blown tubes in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and have one amp that is 10 years old with the stock tubes. It's a bit of a crap shoot. Kind of like light bulbs.

Well its back. It went away for a day or 2 and then it kind of cut out and back on and the whining is back bast half gain. I got my new tubes in and completely re-tubed the amp with no difference. Now I am not sure what to do.

So I thought I would follow-up. I thought the amp I ordered was new old stock turns out it was b-stock which may just be a fancy name for used or really old floor model. It looks mint and still had the tags on it so my mistake. I opened up my mark v 25 and stole 5 of the 6 pre amp tubes and...

I just received a new old stock Roadster and turned on channel 1 and man it sounds good warm articulate then channel 2 on brit and gain cranked sounds great. Channel 3 has 60 cycle hum and squeals like a pig with gain less than half on modern. Raw and vintage I can go up to half but still...
