I put mine in my V combo as well :) You did a much better job on your's than I did. Yeah, I'm not sure what mounting it in a VII combo would entail yet.

I use one of these to control everything my foot switch control did on my road king ii, via midi, and just got one for my Mark V as well. They are awesome and should work really well with an ES-8 as well (I owned one a few years ago and it's a great unit)...

Definitely. The VII comes with casters and I put them on immediately. That said, the VII combo feels noticeably lighter than my V:90 combo.

Mine is definitely in the ‘all that’ category - I actually just replied to that effect in my “Bought a Mark VII” thread a few hours ago, along with a IIC+ mode clip.

So, this has completely become my main amp. This is the real deal. I put this short recording together last night, it's the VII in IIC+ mode, recorded via the cab clone/two notes interface

Wow, I haven't listened to this track in several years. The Electradyne goes SO HARD. I always knew that my TC-50 wasn't hitting as hard as the ED had, but wow, the different is huge. It was an incredibly brawny amplifier.

Bandit - one thing I've never been able to do with my TC-50 is get the kind of snarl I got from my Electrodyne. I'm interested to know if your pre-amp tube experiments might help me recapture some of this, especially the snarl in the chord around the 50 second mark:
